The 2015 Commonwealth Coast Conference Women's Cross Country Championship will be hosted by Roger Williams University on Saturday, October 31st. The women's championship race will cover a course of 6,000 meters starting at 12:00 p.m. Runners from each of the nine CCC women's teams will be competing for the title.

At the 2014 CCC Championship, University of New England captured it's third consecutive title. Leading the way for the Nor'easters in this year's championship are the 2014 CCC Runner of the Year, Brittney Sorbello (1st, 23:55) and All-CCC Honorees Tiana Thomas (3rd, 23:57), Lexi Basiliere (4th, 23:58) and Angel Waters, the 2014 CCC Rookie of the Year (5th, 24:04). Sorbello and Thomas have been named CCC Runners of the Week and ECAC Runners of the Week during this fall campaign.Â

The 2014 CCC runner-up, Roger Williams University is led by senior captains Haylee Kurkoski and Hillary Leonard. The top returning runners for the Hawks include sophomores Makayla D'Urso (12th, 25:04) and Jackie Applin (14th, 25:05) both will look to lead the team in scoring at this year's meet. This relatively young team will look to return as a top three finisher.

Salve Regina University placed third a year ago. The Seahawks return All-CCC honorees Aubrey Palmquist (7th, 24:34) and Amy Irving (8th, 24:54) to lead the way for the Seahawks. A strong junior class returns to Salve Regina with four having finished in the top 25 at last year's meet. Sophomores Alexa Cipkas and Olivia Wilson, will provide some depth, both having finished in the top 20 last fall.

Endicott College returns junior Kiera Malone who had the fastest time out of their returning members at last year's meet. Freshman Abigail Keim has had a strong debut this season for the Gulls, being named CCC Rookie of the week four times. Despite losing All-CCC honoree Erin Haynes, the Gulls have relied on seniors Alexis Black and Holly Rigoli to provide some depth and leadership this fall.Â

Gordon College will look to their top finisher from last year's meet in senior Mariah Geiger (18th, 25:38) to anchor the Fighting Scots. Sophomore Louisa Dodds (25th, 26:18) will look to make an impact for Gordon at this year's meet. Junior Emma Gray provides depth for Fighting Scots, the 2014 CCC Championship fifth place finisher. Junior Emily Nelson has been one of Gordon's most consistent options at the top of race finishes this season.

Western New England University comes to the 2015 CCC Championship with captains Hadiatou Barry and Rachel Duda leading the way. Kathleen Silviera (51st, 27:19), the first returning finisher from last year's race will lead the way on the course for the Golden Bears. Western New England's small, yet experienced team will look to improve on their sixth place finish last year.

Curry College returns Lydia Hixon (61st, 28:12), who will continue to lead the way for the Colonels. Senior captains Leigha Sweeney and Shannon Hickey will provide depth for Curry at this year's meet.

Nichols College returns to the championship meet with high hopes. Leading the way for the Bison is last year's top finisher in Katelyn Tupaj (96th, 31:39). Teammates Jacquelyn Khillah and Danielle Levya will anchor the Bison lineup as they compete in this weekend's meet.

Eastern Nazarene College returns to the CCC Championship with last year's top finishers for the Lions in seniors Jamie Hultgren (93rd, 31:28) and Christina Saint-Pierre (111th, 35:12). The all junior and senior team will look to improve on last year's 9th place finish. Â
