The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its 2011 DIII All-American selections today, naming Gordon's Dan Utz (Sr./Rochester, N.Y.) to the Honorable Mention squad.

Utz, team co-captain and four-year member of the Fighting Scots’ squad, earns the distinction after leading all Scots with 43 goals and 14 assists (57 points) overall on the season. Included in those totals were five-goal efforts against University of New England and Curry, four-goal games against Springfield and Fairleigh Dickinson, and the game-winning goal in Gordon's pivotal 11-10 victory over The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent New England College.

In addition to the USILA honor, Utz was also named TCCC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and First Team member at the end of the season, having ranked in the top 10 in several conference offensive categories.
