Gordon Women's Basketball forward Fredi Nielsen (Bridgeport, Conn.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week and Gordon's Athlete of the Week for her efforts on the court for the Fighting Scots last week.

Nielsen recorded her first career double-double in a 67-31 win over Lesley on Saturday, December 14 with an 18-point, 12-rebound outing. She also added five blocks, one assist, and one steal in the 36-point victory.

The Christian Heritage graduate is averaging 9.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game so far this season.
