This week's Athlete of the Week, senior back Micah Linn (Germantown, Tenn.), garners the distinction after having been honored by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) as the Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year for his efforts on the pitch for the Fighting Scots this season.

Linn, a captain to this year's campaign, has been a key player in a Scots' stalwart back line which ranked third in shutouts among CCC programs with six on the year and fifith in goals against average (1.24) en route to a regular season CCC record of 6-1-2. Nationally, the team ranks in the top 25 percent of NCAA Division III programs in shutout percentage (0.38).

After capturing the No. 2 seed for the CCC tournament and dispensing with Salve Regina, 3-0, in the opening round, Linn and the Scots will take on Nichols College in the semifinals on Thursday, November 3 at 1:00p.m. for a chance to advance for the second consecutive year to the conference title match.
