Junior thrower Zak Flowers (Fountain Valley, Calif.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week after two successful meets to kickoff the outdoor track & field season.

In the Scots' outdoor opener at the Spring Break Invitational hosted by Wesleyan University on March 22, Flowers took first in the hammer and discus with 46.66m and 37.01m throws, respectively. Then at the UMass-Dartmouth Corsair Invitational this past weekend, he landed in second overall with a 47.34m hammer toss and qualified for regionals with a fifth-place, 40.10m throw in the discus.

His efforts helped lead Gordon to a 12^th of 30 overall finish on the day.
