Junior runner Josh Porizky (Groton, Conn.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for his efforts with Gordon Cross-Country over 2011 season.

In the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship on October 29 at Roger Williams University, Porizky overcame inclement course conditions to place seventh in a field of 62 runners with a 28:16 result on the 8k trail, good enough to earn himself a spot on the CCC All-Conference Team.

Porizky and the rest of the Scots are set to compete in the New England Regionals hosted by Bowdoin College on Saturday, November 12.
