Senior forward Hans Miersma (Whitinsville, Mass.) has been named Co-Player of the Week in the Commonwealth Coast Conference and Gordon's Athlete of the Week after a monstrous performance in an overtime victory at Endicott last Wednesday.

The senior turned in a dominant 23-point, 24-rebound showing in the Fighting Scots' 75-71 victory over host Endicott in the CCC opener. In the big early-season win, Miersma shot 69 percent (9-of-13) from the floor, grabbed seven boards under the offensive glass and added three blocked shots. The 24 rebounds was just two off the season-high for any Division III player this season and was just one of two 20-20 performances in DIII this season. Miersma added eight points and four rebounds in just 18 minutes of a 72-61 setback at Wentworth. For the week, he shot 65 percent (13-of-20) from the field.
