Sophomore Damon Kilgore (Londonderry, N.H.) continued his tear through the Commonwealth Coast Conference by adding his third CCC Runner of the Week award of the three weeks he has competed. Kilgore won the Pop Crowell Invitational on Gordon's campus on Saturday morning.

Kilgore finished the 8K race in a season best 25:50 and handled the rest of the competition by a wide margin. The second place runner from Wentworth finished just a hair under a full minute behind Kilgore.

The Fighting Scots finished third as a team behind conference foes UNE and Wentworth, but Kilgore remains the top timed runner in the CCC as the postseason races quickly approach. Gordon has two weeks off before heading out west for the James Earley Invitational at Westfield State on Saturday October 10.
