Freshman Jamie Tafoya (Fort Collins, Colo.) is the Gordon Athlete of the Week after leading the Fighting Scots to their second Commonwealth Coast Conference win in three games. Tafoya led all players with 20 points and was just one rebound away from a double-double in the gutty 60-55 victory at home against Nichols. Gordon is suddenly back in CCC playoff contention after dropping the first 14 conference games of the season, as the Scots sit tied for the final spot with two other schools.

Tafoya is currently second on the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 7.9 points and 5.8 boards per game. She also is second in steals with 21 this season.
