Gordon College Athletics

Freshman catcher/third baseman Megan Jenkerson (McDonough, Ga.) is Gordon's Athlete of the Week after taking home Rookie of the Week honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference on Monday afternoon. Gordon doubled its win total in a 4-4 week, earning sweeps over Fisher and Wentworth.
 
Jenkerson had an outstanding week for the Fighting Scots, hitting an eye-popping four home runs in eight games. After hitting her first collegiate dinger a week and a half ago, Jenkerson paced Gordon's offense with seven RBI. The rookie hit a home run in four of Gordon's six conference games, including one in each of its home contests against Salve Regina on Monday.
