Blake Berkey has been selected as the Athlete of the week for the Scots. Berkey, a member of the 2011 The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Runner-Up men’s soccer team has been named a captain for the upcoming season.

Last spring he was presented the Male Scholar-Athlete Of The Year award for having accumulated a perfect 4.00 GPA in his three years as a finance major at Gordon. He also earned conference All Academic Honors.

Berkey, along with several other players from the men's soccer team, are currently in Sao Paulo, Brazil running camps, clinics, and tournaments for local youth and orphanages as well as playing both futsal and full-sided matches.
