Denney was the only Gordon player to go 4-0 for the week as the Fighting Scots split their opening two matches. On Thursday, Denney won a wild three-set match against Ashley Woodside of Colby-Sawyer and teamed up with Justine Hanson (Meadow Vista, Calif.) to take an 8-6 result against the Chargers top duo. On Saturday, Gordon stormed Eastern Nazarene's courts to the tune of a 9-0 win where Denney took two more matches. The Lions' Adele Duval gave Denney a run in the first set with the Gordon sophomore holding on 7-5 before sweeping Duval 6-0 in the second to take the match.
