Gordon senior Caleb Cole (Coatesville, Pa.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week after earning a Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week nod on Monday.

Cole came into the week with only one goal compared to four assists but did damage on both sides of the scoring equation during Gordon's 2-0 week with two goals and two assists to help the Scots improve to 4-1-1 on the year.

In a statement 1-0 win over Tufts on Wednesday, Cole took advantage of a big moment on a free kick just outside of the 18-yard box. The midfielder put a beautiful ball over the top of the defense and found Josh Cochran (Bellville, Ohio) in stride for the header goal.

In a blowout win over Nichols on Saturday, Cole scored once in each half and finished off his second penalty kick goal of the season. He also assisted on Cochran's second goal in as many games to help the Scots win by a slanted 5-1 margin over visiting Nichols.

Cole now leads the conference in scoring through two weeks with three goals and six assists for a total of 12 points.
