Swimmer Katherine Zablocki (Fr./Walnut Creek, Calif.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for her outstanding efforts this season for the Fighting Scots, swimming to numerous top finishes and qualifying times for the New England Collegiate Championship (NECC) slated to begin February 16.

In the Scots' most recent meet versus the University of New England, Zablocki raced her way to a top finish in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:11.70 result and was part of a relay team that took the top slot in the 200 freestyle (1:53.95). Previously this season, she earned an NECC "A" cut time in the 100 IM at Babson (1:11.03), an "A" cut in the 200 breaststroke at Western New England (2:43.60), and posted top times in the 50 breaststroke (34.38), 200 IM (2:32.68), and 200 freestyle relay (1:52.80) at Regis.

Zablocki and the rest of the Scots return to the lanes on Tuesday, January 24 for a non-conference meet at UMass Dartmouth followed by their final regular season meet at home against St. Joseph's (Maine) on Saturday, February 4.
