Eric Demers is Gordon's Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 4. Demers, a sophomore from Acushnet, Mass., led Gordon to wins over CCC opponents Wentworth and Western New England. He averaged 33.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game and shot 45.8 percent from the floor, 47.4 percent from the three-point line, and 93.3 percent from the free-throw line. He also scored a career-high 41 points and tied his career-high in field goals made with 14 in the Fighting Scots 84-77 win over the Golden Bears. As of Sunday, Demers is ranked 13th in NCAA Division III in scoring average with 24.1 points per game. Â
