Caris Lyons is Gordon's Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 12-19. Lyons, a junior from Orrville, Ohio, led the Fighting Scots to a tenth place finish at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Championships. Lyons placed in the top-ten in every event she entered, which included four relays and three individual events. She swam the anchor leg in all four relays. The 400-yard freestyle relay team finished sixth in 3:45.23, the 400-yard medley relay team finished seventh in 4:21.50, the 200-yard freestyle relay team placed eighth in 1:43.45, and the 200-yard medley relay team placed ninth in 1:57.23. In her individual events, she placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.05, eighth in the 100-yard freestyle in 54.90, and ninth in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.47.Â
