Gordon Softball outfielder Kara Pepper (Fr./Wyckoff, N.J.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for her standout performances in her rookie debut last week for the Fighting Scots in Myrtle Beach, S.C. 

Despite the Scots only picking up two wins on the week, Pepper posted several outstanding individual outings, going 14-28 (.500) overall while scoring eight runs, stealing three bases, driving in a single run and batting safely in each of the Scots' games.

Defensively, she started each game at center and recorded 11 putouts, three assists, and no errors.

Pepper and the rest of the Scots return to the diamond on Friday, March 23 for a home-opening doubleheader against Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Wentworth at 3:00p.m.
