Senior defender/midfielder Krysti Leach (Naples, Maine) has been named this week's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week and Gordon's Athlete of the Week for her contributions in a two-game schedule for the Fighting Scots last week.

Despite a close-fought 15-11 loss to CCC rival University of New England on Wednesday, Leach collected seven draw controls and one ground ball in the outing and followed that up with a dominant 16-draw control, one-goal effort in the Scots' 17-14 win over Salve Regina on Saturday.

Overall she has grabbed 65 draw controls and caused 11 turnovers on the season.

Leach and the Scots take a break from conference play on Thursday, April 19 to host Worcester State before returning to CCC action with visiting Roger Williams on Saturday, April 21.
