Sophomore midfielder Anna Blomberg (Simsbury, Conn.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Gordon's Athlete of the Week for her part in lifting the Fighting Scots to a pair of critical wins last week.

Blomberg was instrumental to the Scots' attack, leading off the week with five points (four goals, one assist), eight draw controls, and two ground balls in Gordon’s regular season finale win over Curry. Then, in the Scots’ CCC opening round 20-12 victory over visiting Western New England, she exploded offensively for a season-high eight goals and one assist while also grabbing five draw controls and causing one turnover.

Overall, the All-CCC First Team selection accumulated 14 points on the week, shooting .632 with a shots-on-goal percentage of .842. She is currently the team's second-leading scorer with 64 goals, 14 assists (78 points) on the season, and ranks third in draw controls (58).
