Averaging nearly three kills per game during the first four matches, sophomore Lauren Kranyak (Locust Grove, Va.) has garnered the honor of Gordon's Athlete of the Week. In the Fighting Scots' first match against Albertus Magnus, Kranyak tallied 13 kills and pair of aces in a 3-0 season-opening victory. She went on to record another 28 kills, seven aces, and seven digs over the weekend at the Gordon Invitational, helping the Scots complete the tournament sweep with wins over St. Joseph's (Conn.), Simmons, and Bay Path. Kranyak has played in each of the Scots' games thus far, racking up 51 points in Gordon's perfect 4-0 start on the season.
