Freshman outfielder Kara Pepper (Wyckoff, N.J.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week after being selected to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Honorable Mention Team following the Fighting Scots' 2012 season.

In her rookie debut for the Scots, Pepper batted .325 in the leadoff spot, ripping 37 hits and 11 RBIs in 114 at-bats. She also recorded 22 runs and 47 total bases while posting a slugging percentage of .412 and an on-base percentage of .364.

Covering center field in every game for Gordon this season, Pepper had 53 putouts, five assists, and seven errors for a .892 fielding percentage.
