Cross country runner Leanne Beedle (Fr./Bethany, Conn.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for her continued dominance on the trails for the Fighting Scots this season.

Beedle finished 29th of 317 runners and first for her team in the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon on Saturday, Sept. 29, turning in a career-best 19:47 on the 5k course to lead the Scots to an 11th place overall finish.

Previously this season, she finished first for the Scots and 66th overall in the 293-runner field at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational (19:58) and first of all Gordon runners, seventh overall at the Elms Invitational (20:59).

Beedle and the rest of the Scots return to the trails on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Western New England Invitational.
