Gordon field hockey midfielder Karli Balmer (So./Perkasie, Pa.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for her efforts in lifting the Fighting Scots to a 4-1 Homecoming win over Western New England University on Saturday, Oct. 6.

Balmer had a hand in each of the Scots' four goals on the day, assisting the first three before netting her own late in the game to ice the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) win over the Golden Bears.

In an unofficial matchup with Roger Williams University's club team earlier in the week, she also notched a single tally to help lead the way to Gordon's 8-1 victory over the Hawks.

She is currently the team's leading scorer with 24 points on the year (seven goals, 10 assists).
