Gordon College Athletics

Sophomore midfielder Karli Balmer (Perkasie, Pa.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week after a standout 2012 effort which earned her All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) First Team honors.

Balmer garnered her first All-CCC honor after finishing the season as the Scots' leading scorer with 12 goals and 14 assists. At the close of the regular season, she was also the conference leader in assists, was third in total points (36), and fifth in goals, and highlighted her season with a hat trick in Gordon's 4-3 victory over non-conference Southern Maine on Sept. 6. 

The Scots wrapped up their season's campaign in the CCC semifinals, dueling the top-seeded Gulls of Endicott to a 2-1 overtime loss.
