Senior-captain Samantha Neverett (Athol, Mass.) has been honored as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts over the week of September 12-18. 

Despite Gordon ceding two losses on the week, Neverett was standout on the field for the Fighting Scots, providing an assist versus MIT, five goals and an assist in a 12-0 rout of Rivier, and a goal in a narrow 3-2 loss in Gordon’s CCC opener with Nichols. Her 11-point performance against Rivier broke school records for most goals in a game and most points in a game. Overall she has tallied eight goals and two assists on the year.?? 

Neverett and the rest of the Scots return to play on Tuesday, September 20 as they host non-conference Framingham State at 7:00p.m. From there they will travel to Regis on Thursday, September 22 for another non-conference game before returning to CCC play on Saturday, September 24 at Western New England.
