Freshman swimmer Joshua Florez (West Hartford, Conn.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for recording several top finishes in the lanes for the Scots so far this season.

This past week alone Florez posted four top times for Gordon, turning in a 30.00 in the 50 breaststroke and 1:04.33 in the 100 breaststroke against Bentley on Wednesday, Nov. 7. He followed that up with another pair of firsts in the 100 (1:05.87) and 200 (2:25.15) breast at Regis on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Previously this season, Florez also booked first place finishes in the 50 and 100 breast (29.96/1:05.42) and 200 medley relay (1:50.29) in the Scots' season-opening meet against Colby-Sawyer on Oct. 27 and bested his heat in the 100IM (1:13.05) on Nov. 3 at Elms.
