Gordon Women's Tennis phenom Caroline Hall (Corona, Calif.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Year and All-CCC First Team selection for both singles and doubles after an outstanding rookie debut for the Fighting Scots.

Voting for the All-CCC team and the major awards was conducted among CCC head women's tennis coaches.

Hall revolutionized the top spot for the Scots in 2013 despite her freshman classification, going 13-1 in singles play with her only loss coming against CCC Player of the Year, Chrissy Martel of Nichols. Hall also teamed up with fellow Californian Cindi Flynn (Sunset Beach, Calif.) at No. 1 doubles to go 5-2 in conference play and 10-3 overall to secure a spot on the All-CCC squad.

An improved lineup with Hall headlining put the Scots in the playoffs for the first time in several years. The CCC playoffs begin on Tuesday with the Scots traveling to face the Colonels of Curry at 2 p.m.
