Gordon College Golf Team Captain Mike Drake (junior, Portland, ME) finished tied for first with a 5-over par 77 in the 5th annual Gordon College Fighting Scots Invitational, along with Endicott College’s Nick Turczak and UNH’s Nick Kostis, and took home medalist honors in the playoff. This is the second time in as many years a Gordon Golf captain has taken home top honors in the Fall season, and the first collegiate win for Mike Drake. He posted an impressive 11 of 14 fairways hit (78%) and 15 of 18 greens in regulation (83%) at Turner Hill Golf & Racquet Club.

UNH took home Team Champion honors with a 337, and Endicott College edged out Northeastern University by a stroke to finish second at 345. Gordon finished fourth with a 357, followed by WPI with a 370.

Gordon’s next tournament is the 12-team Nichols College Invitational (Blissful Meadows, Uxbridge, MA) on October 11th, followed by the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship hosted by Endicott College at Essex County Club (Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA) on October 17th.
