MEET RESULTS
The Regis College men's and women's swimming teams each came away with victories over visiting Gordon in a dual meet at the Regis pool on Saturday afternoon. The women's team defeated the Fighting Scots, 146-105, while the men's team won by a score of 121-105.
Despite the loss,
Nicole St. Martin (Fr./Westport, Mass.) turned in two top finishes on the day with a 2:07.73 in the 200 free and a 1:11.22 in the 100 fly, torching her competition in the first event by a 13 second margin.
Emily David (Fr./North Kingston, R.I.) also recorded a pair of top times in the 100 back (1:05.61) and 200 IM (2:24.40), while
Katherine Zablocki (So./Walnut Creek, Calif.) finished five seconds ahead of her heat in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.27) and
Julianne Kirkpatrick (So./Rochester, N.Y.) and
Erin Walker (Fr./Wenham, Mass.) came in one-two in the 500 free at 6:05.67 and 6:22.14, respectively.
Additionally, the relay team of St. Martin, Kirkpatrick, Zablocki, and David posted a winning result in the 200 free at 1:50.48.
Like St. Martin and David,
Joshua Florez (Fr./West Hartford, Conn.) swam to a pair of first place results in the 100 and 200 breast (1:05.87/2:25.13), while
Austin Drukker (So./Bedford, N.H.) bested all swimmers in the 100 back (1:03.93) and
Cameron Schofield (Fr./Middleboro, Mass.) did the the same in the 100 free (53.75).
Andrew Lewis (Fr./Mystic, Conn.),
Brett Johnson (So./Easton, Mass.), and
Brian Pearson (Sr./Kennebunk, Maine) also came in one-two-three in the 50 free at 25.55, 26.05, and 27.28.
The Scots have a week off before hosting Western New England on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 12 p.m.
