MEET RESULTS
In non-conference swimming action on Wednesday night in Gordon's Bennett Athletic Center, the Falcons of Bentley University claimed a 119-86 win on the women's side and a 143-76 win on the men's to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Despite the overall losses, the Scots recorded seven individual top finishes and two top relay finishes on the night.
Joshua Florez (Fr./West Hartford, Conn.) posted meet-best times in the 50 and 100 breaststroke, besting the fields in both events with 30.00 and 1:04.33 results. Teammates
Brett Johnson (So./Easton, Mass.) and
Marcos Castellano (Sr./Lynn, Mass.) finished one-two in the 50 fly at 27.13 and 29.92, respectively, while
Cameron Schofield (Fr./Middleboro, Mass.) was first in the 100IM at 1:01.51. Johnson and Schofield also teamed with
Andrew Lewis (Fr./Mystic, Conn.) and
Austin Drukker (So./Bedford, N.H.) to win the 200 free relay, finishing seven seconds ahead of their competition at 1:41.03.
For the women,
Katherine Zablocki (So./Walnut Creek, Calif.) picked up a top time in the 50 breaststroke with a 34.22 and was second to teammate
Emily David (Fr./North Kingston, R.I.) in the 100 IM, who finished first at 1:06.83.
Nicole St. Martin (Fr./Westport, Mass.) showed well in the lanes for the Scots as well with a 31.99 in the 50 fly and joined forces with Zablocki, David, and
Julianne Kirkpatrick (So./Rochester, N.Y.) for an 11-point, 1:51.05 top time in the 200 free relay.
The Scots take to the road on Saturday, Nov. 10 for a meet at Regis College beginning at 1:00p.m.
