Celebrating Senior Night in their final home game of the 2011-2012 season, the Fighting Scots rallied late but could not complete the come-from-behind victory, ceding a 52-47 loss to the visiting Leopards of Wentworth Institute of Technology to move to 7-17 overall, 2-15 in conference play this season.

With the score close in the opening minutes, the Scots began to inch away with the lead behind a pair of jumpers from Brooke Kratche (Fr./Chargrin Falls, Ohio) and a trey from Skylar Bareford (So./Stonington, Conn.) to make it 14-7 at the 10 minute mark. The Leopards would battle right back, though, as Jordan Biggar (Jr./Beverly, Mass.) picked up all 11 of her first half points in the remaining minutes to give her team the slight 23-20 lead at the break.

After a few close minutes to open the second, Kendra Kerr (So./Marshfield, Mass.) lit up the offensive end for Wentworth with 10 points to help forge a 15-point lead over the Scots with 6:46 to go. Seemingly facing defeat, Gordon battled back using a 16-2 run to close the gap to just one point with 34 ticks remaining thanks in large part to eight points from Leanna Tallamy (Fr./Wantage, N.J.) and six from Aly Towle (Fr./Rochester, N.H.). In the end, however, time ran out on the Scots' comeback effort, as Wentworth sealed the game from the line to pick up just their second win of the season.

Tallamy finished the night leading all scorers with 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Kratche chipped in nine points, five boards, and Towle and Bareford contributed six apiece.

Pacing the win for Wentworth was Kerr with a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double and Biggar who finished with 13 points. 

The Scots take to the road for their final regular season contest on Saturday, February 18 at Nichols College, while Wentworth hosts Curry College on the same day at 1:00p.m.
