Lauren Kranyak (Jr./Locust Grove, Va.) chipped in 11 points and six rebounds.
Opening the night with an offensive tear, the Nor'easters outscored the Scots 24-2 to establish a hefty lead at the 10:44 mark. Gordon was able to gain some offensive traction in the remainder of the half, though, scoring eight points to UNE's 11 to trail at the midway point, 35-10.
The Scots got their offense moving in the second behind 13 points from Kratche and nine from Kranyak while keeping the UNE attack more at bay, but the first half deficit proved too great for them to overcome, leaving them on the short end of the 70-39 result.
UNE converted an impressive 42 points in the paint and 27 points off turnovers in the win.
The Scots look to snap their skid as they host Roger Williams in CCC action on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 5:30p.m., while UNE travels to Curry on the same day for a 5:30p.m. tipoff.
