Scots Win Ninth in a Row with 1-0 Victory over Nichols

DUDLEY, Mass. - The Nichols College women's soccer team suffered their second-straight 1-0 loss, this one at the hands of Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Gordon College Saturday afternoon on Homecoming weekend at Vendetti Field.
 
Sophomore Christina Martin's (San Diego, Calif.) first goal of the season at 78:27 on a breakaway lifted the Fighting Scots to their 11th win of the season, as they continue to find different ways to pull out victories. (11-1-0, 4-0-0 CCC). Senior Taylor McSherry (Wolcott, Conn.) sent Martin a through ball on the goal and was credited with the assist, her fourth of the season.

The loss drops the Bison – who were outshot 19-5 – to 5-7-0 (0-4-0 CCC). Freshman Jillian Krish (Rockland, Mass.) recorded a pair of shots for Nichols. The Scots have won their of their last four games by a single goal after winning many of their game handily in the first month of the season. 
 
Sophomore McKenzie Dion (North Grafton, Mass.) recorded three saves to improve to 7-0-0 on the season. Junior Sarah Whitestone (Dalton, Mass.) stopped six shots as she fell to 5-6-0. 

Gordon goes back out of conference play on Thursday when they play at Salem State at 4 p.m.
