Scots Compete with Host Corsairs

Meet Results
NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.—The Gordon Swim teams competed with UMass-Dartmouth on Thursday night in a non-conference competition. Daniel Fauber (Granbury, Texas) broke two more school records, to bring his total to four broken records only a few meets into the season.

The freshman, Fauber, broke records in the 200-Yard Freestyle and the 100-Yard Freestyle with times of 1:49.69 and 48.98 respectively. Both of those times were good enough for individual victories. Dean and Austin Drukker (Bedford, N.H.) both picked up individual wins for the Scots as well.

The men also picked up wins in the 200 and 400-Yard Relays to complete their victories.

On the women's side, Emily Sneddon (Centreville, Md.) finished first place in the 100-Yard Breaststroke, just a tenth of a second faster than teammate Katherine Zablocki (Walnut Creek, Calif.). Sneddon also picked up a second-place finish in the 200-Yard IM race earlier in the evening.

Nicole St. Martin (Westport, Mass.) finished the 1000-Yard Freestyle in 11:39.33, almost a full minute ahead of UMass-Dartmouth's top racer. Paige Hammaker (Denver, Pa.) grabbed a top finish in the 50-Yard Freestyle, edging out UMass-Dartmouth's Kenra Hebert by a half-second.

The Scots ended the day on a high note with a win in the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay, swam by St. Martin, Hammaker, Zablocki and Emily David. Gordon beat the favored Corsairs by nine seconds in the event.

Gordon returns to the pool on January 25, for a meet with UNE and Colby-Sawyer in Portland, Maine. The Scots only have two races remaining before the New England Championships on February 13.
