Fauber, St. Martin Highlight Record-Breaking Meet

Meet Results
BIDDEFORD, Maine—Daniel Fauber (Granbury, Texas) broke another school record and two pool records on Saturday, as the Gordon Men's Swim team split with the University of New England and Colby-Sawyer. Fauber was also a part of the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay team, which broke a UNE pool record in the meet's final race.

Fauber has had his thumbprint on the new generation of Gordon swimming from the moment he swam his first race in the blue and white. The freshman won the 50-Yard Backstroke and broke a Gordon record, which has stood for 12 years, by over a second. His 25.86 pace set the tone for the race and his next competitor was a full three seconds behind him.

Gordon's relay teams won both races on the afternoon, winning the 200-Yard Medley Relay to kick off the meet and ending the day by setting the previously mentioned 400-Yard Freestyle pool record. The men won the first race by over six seconds and the second race by half a pool length.

Dean Drukker (Bedford, N.H.) was a part of the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay with his brother Austin and he also won the 200-Yard Freestyle race in individual competition. Joshua Florez (West Hartford, Conn.) edged teammate Cameron Schofield (Middleboro, Mass.) by a half-second in the 50-Yard Breaststroke and then added an individual win in the 100-Yard Breaststroke later in the afternoon.

On the women's side, Nicole St. Martin (Westport, Mass.) dominated the epically long 1650-Yard Freestyle race. The sophomore finished the race in 19:41.11, beating her opponents by well over two minutes.
