WENHAM, Mass.—For the fourth season in a row, Gordon Women's Tennis is headed to the Commonwealth Coast Conference semifinal round after handing visiting Western New England a 5-0 loss. Gordon swept the doubles competition thanks to a big tiebreak win at the second flight before ending the match with two singles victories right off the bat.

The Fighting Scots improve to 8-5 on the season, while the Golden Bears finish their fall season at an even 5-5. Gordon will head to Dudley, Mass. to take on top-seeded Nichols next Tuesday at 2 p.m. The Bison did not drop a CCC matchup this fall.

Abby Caron (Bedford, N.H.) and Gabby Brucker (Eleva, Wisc.) got the hosts off to a good start with an 8-0 triumph at third doubles. Gordon's first-team All-CCC duo of Abbie Denney (Peoria, Ariz.) and Justine Hanson (Meadow Vista, Calif.) also finished off a commanding win, besting Joeanna Glantz (Agawam, Mass.) and Christina D'Agostino (Bohemia, N.Y.) 8-2.

The second flight became a grind, but All-CCC third-teamers Kaelyn Hall (Sugar Land, Texas) and Maddie Berry (Paso Robles, Calif.) did just enough to squeak by 9-8 with a 7-5 score in the tiebreaker.

Berry picked up her second point of the afternoon with an almost perfect 6-1, 6-1 result at the fifth flight over Corey St. Louis (Groton, Conn.). Meanwhile at the top spot, Denney edged out Lauren Sell (Milford, Conn.) in a first-set tiebreak before rolling in the second set 6-1.

All other singles matches went unfinished due to conference rules of playing to decision.
