WENHAM, Mass.—Gordon Women's Swimming improved to 2-2 on the season with a 131-106 victory over visiting Western New England on Saturday afternoon at the Bennett Aquatic Center.

The Fighting Scots got the day started with a four-second win in the 200 Medley Relay as the combination of Alexa Bragg (Trumbull, Conn.), Jena Jekums (Anaheim, Calif.), Amber Collard (Yorba Linda, Calif.) and Caris Lyons (Orrville, Ohio) notched a time of 2:04.62.

Megan David (North Kingston, R.I.) increased Gordon's lead in the second event of the day with a split-second win in the 1,000-Yard Free. The sophomore beat Golden Bear Jackie Peterson by .17 seconds to secure the nine points for her side. Lyons continued to build up the Gordon lead with an easy win in the 200 Free, while Bragg added an individual win in the 50 Back over teammate Alex Hall (Boca Raton, Fla.).

First-years Jekums and Collard made it five and six events in a row won by the Scots. Jekums won the 50-Yard Breast by nearly a full second over Alison Johnstone of WNE, while Collard edged out Janelle Lief in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:04.62.

The Golden Bears countered with their first win of the day in the 50 Free by Brittany Bosma, but Lyons and Bragg each added another individual triumph to put the Scots ahead for good.

Gordon swam the 200 Free Relay just a second off its seeded time, but exhibitioned and did not qualify for points in the final score.

The Fighting Scots are home again next Saturday as Bridgewater State comes to town for a 1 p.m. start. Gordon's men will also be back in action after a weekend off.
