NEISDA Highlights Day 2

Day 2 Results / Day 1 Recap
KINGSTON, R.I.—The Gordon Women's Swim program crept up four spots after day two, moving from 11th on Friday to seventh overall following Saturday's competition. The Gordon men also stayed near the top, sliding down just one spot to sixth with another record-breaking day at the NEISDA event at the University of Rhode Island.
 
Conference rival Roger Williams leads the women's event with 1,000 points, while Gordon more than doubled its output from Friday with 333.5 total points. Regionally-ranked Keene State leads the men's event with 561 points and still managing a large lead over Roger Williams and Norwich. The Fighting Scots have 214
 
The Fighting Scots enter the final day of the championship event tomorrow.
 
Day Two Highlights
  • The women's 200 Medley relay squad finished just outside of All-New England recognition behind St. Michael's top team.
  • The men did accomplish the feat, coming in fourth place overall by a split second over Bridgewater State.
  • Caris Lyons (Orrville, Ohio) finished with the fourth fastest time of the day in the 200 Free, but did not make the A finals to qualify for All-New England.
  • Daniel Fauber (Granbury, Texas) grabbed second in the 200 Free with a time of 1:45.48.
  • Alexa Bragg (Trumbull, Conn.) finished All-New England in the 100 Backstroke. The A heat all finished within three seconds of each other, with Bragg getting seventh.
  • Joshua Florez (West Hartford, Conn.) broke the 100 Breast record twice during the day and won the event outright with a time of 57.48 in the nightcap. The time earned the senior a B cut mark for the NCAA races coming up in a few weeks.
  • Nicole St. Martin (Westport, Mass.) swam to an All-New England nod with a season-best 11:05.77 finish in the 1,000 Free.
