In men's and women's swimming action on Saturday at St. Joseph's College (Maine), the Fighting Scots completed a clean sweep over the host Monks and fellow visitors Husson University in their final meet of the regular season before the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships. The Scots came off the blocks firing on all cylinders, claiming top finishes in the first eight events to set the tone for what proved to be a dominant day in the lanes.

For the women, Caris Lyons (So./Orrville, Ohio) recorded two top finishes– one in the grueling 1650 free (20:00.34) and the other in the 100 free (59:40)– and teamed with Alexa Bragg (Jr./Trumbull, Conn.), Leah Snavely (Sr./Manheim, Pa.), and Amber Collard (Fr./Yorba Linda, Calif.) for first in the 200 medley relay (2:02.48) in the opening event of the day. Similarly, Alex Hall bested 11-swimmer fields in the 50 and 100 backstroke (31.92/1:10.34), Amber Collard turned in another pair of firsts in the 200 free (2:09.17) and 50 fly (29.61), and teammate Megan David bested the group in the 500 free at 5:52.95. To round out the effort, Leanne Hallenbeck, Jena Jekums, Abby Bacon, and Snavely joined forces in the 400 free relay to edge host SJC by under a second for the top spot at 4:09.13.

On the men's side, Dean Drukker cruised to a 1:56.13 in the 200 free, besting the field by a full eight seconds, and went on later in the day to win the 500 free by a 13-second margin at 5:20.49. He also combined with Caleb Petersen, Langdon Kessner, and Jack Cicchelli for a 1:51.78 win in the 200 medley relay and Jeff Davis, Aaron Lewis, and Cicchelli for a 5:00.19 W in the 400 free. Showing well in their individual events, Petersen and Cichelli recorded a pair of wins in the 50 (29.37) and 100 (1:03.04) backstroke and 50 (26.36) and 100 (58.46) fly, respectively, while Lewis booked a 19:02.83 first in the 1650 free and Davis a 54.47 first in the 100 free.

The Scots have a week and a half to prepare for the NEISDA Championships hosted by the University of Rhode Island beginning February 16.
