HENNIKER, N.H. — Gordon put five shots on goal in its 0-0 tie with New England College.
The Fighting Scots (2-0-1) attempted three shots in the first half with one being on goal. They allowed the Pilgrims (0-4-1) to attempt 14 shots in the half.
In the second half, Gordon got off six shots with two being on goal. New England College had eight shots with two on goal. Both team attempted a shot in the final minute of regulation, but could not find the back of the net.
The teams combined for four shots in both overtime periods.
Chandler Stier attempted a shot at the end of the first overtime that was saved by the keeper. The Pilgrims attempted three shots in the second overtime with one being on goal. They did not allow Gordon to take a shot in the second overtime period.
Giselle Maso recorded 12 saves and faced 26 shots in her first career start.
The Fighting Scots travel to take on Roger Williams in their CCC opener Sept. 16 at 12 p.m.
