WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Curry for its Homecoming game Saturday afternoon and came away with a 5-0 win. They attempted a season-high 31 shots and put a season-high 16 shots on goal.
The Fighting Scots (4-2-2, 1-1-1 CCC) got started with the scoring early as
Ashton Barkey received a pass from
Devin Lacroix and put it past the keeper in the ninth minute. They added another goal in the 11
th minute as
Chandler Stier headed it past the keeper off a pass by
Kasey Hayes for her first goal of the year. She added another goal in the 30
th minute that was assisted by Barkey. They held the Colonels (7-3-2, 0-1-2 CCC) to two shots in the first half with one being on goal.
In the second half,
Lexi Potter scored in the 77
th minute off a pass from
Kim Bowley to add to the lead.
Kyra Skurcenski topped it off with her first goal of the season in the 86
th minute off a pass by
Tori Caswell. Gordon held Curry to one shot attempt in the second half in the 63
rd minute that was saved by
Kali Denty.
The Fighting Scots next travel to take on Salem State Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
