BEVERLY, Mass. — Gordon hosted Franklin Pierce in its last game of the spring season at the Bass River Tennis Club and won 8-1.
The Fighting Scots (9-8) went 5-1 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles play against the Ravens (2-20).
In singles competition,
Katherine Jeffreys defeated Alana Wyatt 7-6, 6-2 at the No. 1,
Maddie Berry defeated Sonia Rodrigues as Rodrigues retired due to injury after being down 3-0,
Gabrielle Brucker defeated Sarah Rich 3-6, 6-3, 10-3 at the No. 3,
Caitlin Kwok defeated Kelly O'Donnell 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 4,
Emily Ontiveros defeated Maria Quagliano 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 5, and Shelli Safran defeated
Courtney Barlotta 6-3, 7-6, 9-7 at the No. 6.
In doubles competition, Berry/Brucker defeated Wyatt/Rodrigues 8-3 at the No. 1, Jeffreys/Kwok defeated Rich/O'Donnell 8-0 at the No. 2, and Ontiveros/
