Gordon College Women's Basketball continued Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play as they played host to the Gulls of Endicott College and were handed a 64-52 loss after powerful start by the Gulls.
Endicott's efforts were led by Emily Pratt (Jr./Gardner, Mass.) who ignited her squad with 20 points as well as four steals, while teammate Mikaela Rogers (Jr./Haverhill, Mass.) dropped 17 points and seven boards.
Meghan Foley led all scorers with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while the always dependable
Sarah Gibbs also booked a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards for Gordon.
The Scots and Gulls return to action on Saturday, January 12 as both teams play at their respective home with the Scots hosting Roger Williams, while the Gulls host Salve Regina both at 1 p.m.
How It Happened
- The Gulls went on a 13-0 run to close out the first quarter taking a commanding 25-6 going into the second frame.
- Rogers scored six of her 17 points in the second, lifting the Gulls to a 28-point lead, but Foley got in rhythm scoring Gordon's final six-points of the quarter to trail 17-41 going into halftime.
- Back to back three's in the third, from Alisha Henderson and Foley cut the lead to 15 as Gordon relentlessly fought back coming out of the break.Â
- The second half was a different story as Gordon outscored the Gulls in the final two quarters. However, Endicott kept the Scots at bay scoring six unanswered points to close out the third heading into the final frame leading the Scots, 53-34.
- An 11-point deficit was the closest Gordon could get to an undefeated CCC Gull's team, as Endicott pulled away with a 64-52 victory over the Scots.

- This marks the second game in a row that Sarah Gibbs and Meghan Foley have both recorded a double-double.
- Gordon outscored the Gulls 35-23 in the second half.
- The Gulls have won the last 23 meetings between the two squads.
