Gordon College Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams placed 12th and 14th, respectively, at the Keene State Invitational this afternoon.
On the men's side, Williams won the meet while Brandeis, UMass Dartmouth, Westfield State, and Middlebury rounded out the top-five
There were a total of 10 personal bests on the afternoon for the Fighting Scots overall. Evan Page crossed the line in 27th place with a time of 27:21.2. Sebastian Toro came in 56th place with a time of 28:17.3 and freshman Jonathan Van Bebber earned a time of 29:03.9 for 81st place. (192 total runners) With their efforts on today's 8k course, Page and Toro wrote themselves into 13th and 27th place all-time in Gordon's record books, respectively.
Overall for the women, Williams took the top spot, while Wellesley, Brandeis, Westfield State, and Wheaton, rounded out the top-five.
Bridget Hill guided the Scots with a 5k time of 19:39.8 coming in 37th place. Angie Epplett booked a time of 20:23.8 which was good enough for 63rd place, while Annabel Smith raced to a 75th place finish with a time of 20:40.3. (185 women runners) Nine Scots recorded new personal bests in the race. Hill had a milestone day as the sophomore's 5k time put her at 10th place all-time in the Gordon record books.Â
