MEET RESULTS

Gordon College Women's Swimming traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts today to square off against the Golden Bears of Western New England. The Golden Bears were able to take care of business at home, defeating the Fighting Scots, 174-72.

Gordon's Rachael Shek was impressive in the 50 yard freestyle, hitting the wall at 1:00.66 for a second place finish. Shek later earned the top spot in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 29.01. Abigail Bacon scored a pair of second place finishes as the senior hit the wall at 34.04 in the 50 yard backstroke before coming in second again in the 100 yard backstroke (1:18.87). The Scots' relay team of Janelle Maxwell, Shaelyn McGrath, Autumn Roberts, and Leanne Hallenbeck were narrowly edged out of the top spot finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay as the squad earned a second place time of 2:04.94.

The Fighting Scots are back in the pool on Saturday, November 16 as they travel to Bridgewater State at 2 p.m.
