Box Score Traveling to North Shore rival, Salem State University this afternoon Gordon College Women's Tennis made quick work of their opponents en route to a 9-0 victory to improve to 12-6 on the year.
The Fighting Scots went 3-0 in doubles to start the day with
Caitlin Kwok and
Jordyn Maddex blanking their No. 2 counterparts with an 8-0 tally to give the Scots the initial 1-0 lead. The wins just kept rolling in for the Scots as
Anne Carsey and
Gabrielle Brucker followed that up with a 8-1 victory in the top spot, while the No. 3 combination of
Anna Mullane and
Madison West later won their match by a score of 8-1.
Heading into singles, Brucker was the first to finish, grabbing a 6-0, 6-1 win. The senior set it up nicely for teammate, Maddex to be able to seal the deal for the blue and white. The rookie earned a victory in her No. 4 position to secure Fighting Scots' 12
th win of the season.
Next up for the Fighting Scots is a matchup against the Eastern Nazarene Lions on April 9 with a 3:30 p.m. start time.
