Gordon College Women's Tennis returned home to host Regis College this afternoon and took an 8-1 victory over the visiting Pride to conclude the 2018-19 season on a high note.
The Fighting Scots' top combo of
Anne Carsey and
Kaelyn Hall got Gordon's first W of the afternoon with an 8-3 victory over Regis' Katasha Jarvis ( Sr./Mt. Vernon, N.Y.) and Ariana McCormack (Jr./Worcester, Mass.) at No. 1 doubles. Gabby Brucker and
Caitlin Kwok picked up the next win for Gordon with an 8-6 victory at the No. 2 spot, while No. 3 combo of
Jordyn Maddex and
Madison West made it a clean sweep for the blue and white with an 8-4 victory to head into singles leading 3-0.
Hall was the first to finish in singles with a clean, 6-0, 6-0 victory over Jarvis and was quickly followed by an
Anna Mullane win at No. 6 to seal the Scots' 13th win of the season. Gordon also saw key wins from Brucker, Kwok, and Maddex to round out individual action.
