Women Take Second And Men Finish Third At Pop Crowell

WOMEN'S RESULTS     MEN'S RESULTS

Gordon College Men's and Women's Cross Country hosted the 48th Annual Pop Crowell Invitational today with the women running a 6k while the men ran an 8k. The University of New England earned a first place finish in the men's and women's race. The Fighting Scots earned a third place finish on the men's side, while the women came in second place.

Bridget Hill was the top finisher for the Scots as the sophomore raced an impressive 24:41 giving her a sixth place finish out of 86 runners. Angie Epplett crossed the finish line at 25:52 for an 11th place finish, while Annabel Smith came in 14th place with a time of 26:36. Rounding out the top-five finishers for the women were Karly Smith and Abigail Baier who secured a 22nd and 23rd place finish, respectively. 

Gordon's Evan Page was the second overall runner and first Fighting Scot to cross the finish line at the 28:11 mark. William Hunt earned a time of 29:57 for a 13th place finish, Cameron Abbot came in 19th place, Sebastian Toro followed in 21st place and rounding out the top-five for the Scots was Joseph Tibbles who placed 23rd on the day. 

The Fighting Scots return to the trails on Saturday, October 5 as they travel to Keene State.
