Gordon College Director of Athletics Jonathan Tymann had this to say about the cancellation of the spring athletic season due to COVID-19: "We are heart-broken for all of our student-athletes who have worked so diligently on their given sport to have it all shut down so abruptly. We feel especially saddened for our seniors who will finish their final college athletic careers in this way. Thankfully we serve a loving and all-knowing God who sees the hurt, the disappointment, and the confusion and will guide each individual on their path toward healing, understanding and clarity. Thank you Fighting Scots Nation, student-athletes, coaches, families, alumni, and friends for your unending support of our athletic pursuits! Our prayer is that as we battle through these days of disappointment, that God will redeem all of our emotion and passion for His glory and His purpose!! God is good all the time!!!"
