Box Score In their Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular-season finale, Gordon College Women's Tennis defeated the Suffolk University Rams, 7-2. With the win, the Fighting Scots secure the No. 4 seed in the CCC post-season tournament.
Kicking doubles competitions off were Gordon's No. 2 duo of
Madison West and Kristen Kendall who doubled up their opponents, 8-4. Gordon was bested in No. 3 doubles before the blue and white earned a victory on the No. 1 court thanks to a 8-6 win from
Jordyn Maddex and
Annette Kim.Â
Leading 2-1 heading into singles, Gordon secured three straight wins beginning with West, then Kim, followed by Maddex whose 6-2, 6-0 victory sealed the deal for Gordon. With the match already in hand, Gordon continued overpower their opponents, getting wins from Kendall along with
Abbigail Fournier to top the Rams, 7-2.
The Scots wait for the official announcement from the CCC office for a start time to their home CCC Quarterfinal matchup against the Salve Regina Seahawks on Tuesday, October 19.
